Operations Coordinator

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Coordinator to support our Renewables Division as we scale up our operation.


It’s a very exciting time at Carlton Forest Renewables as we launch our pioneering continuous pyrolysis plant. The plant produces oil and carbon char from end of life tyres – producing 4 million litres of oil per year and 7500 tonnes of char.

Operations Coordinator
Based at Hellaby, Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £30,000 pa

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic individual who has:


  • exceptional organisation and time management skills

  • the ability to work proactively and independently as part of a multi-disciplinary team

  • experience of working with accreditation bodies, achieving targeted deliverables and timescales

  • a customer focussed approach with the ability to engage easily with others 


This is a new role to support both the operational and development areas of the Renewables Division for all sales, supply chain, transactional and system-based activities. with lots of scope to demonstrate your ability to work on multiple activities across the Division. You will be responsible for:

  • Project Engineering Management of new turnkey pyrolysis projects, from sales order receipt, through to final commissioning and handover to client.

  • Project Management of all suppliers, contractors, timelines, budgets and resource to ensure the delivery of projects.

  • Ensuring technical and installation requirements are met on the project, by suppliers, contractors.

  • Negotiating and purchasing of plant items and machinery for the projects, ensuring that supplier agreements are in place and managed effectively.

  • Driving focus on Health and Safety, legislation and company standards in all project work.

  • Ensuring all projects are managed to timescales, documented and communicated to a consistently high standard.


The successful candidate will have previously worked in a customer focussed environment, with experience of creative problem solving.


Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage others is essential.


SAGE/SAP experience or similar system would be an advantage, as would a qualification in Business Studies (or equivalent experience).

3PL DIVISION

Stock Control & Admin Assistants 

We have vacancies for Stock Control and Admin Assistants to join our logistics and warehousing team located at our site in Bawtry, Doncaster. 


The role will support the warehouse administration requirements by assisting in the organising and implementing of various administrative systems.

Stock Control and Admin Assistants

No two days are ever the same at Carlton Forest! Your responsibilities will be wide ranging and include:


  • Processing of customer order requirements and queries and associated paperwork

  • Ensuring KPI’s and reports are despatched to the relevant customers 

  • Maintaining systems for the warehouse for booking in / dispatching of goods 

  • Investigating pick queries and stock issues using key reports 

  • Actioning necessary empty bay / stock counts in line with daily / weekly schedules and adjusting status changes where needed

  • Supporting any required stock counts 

  • Facilitating new product setup and upkeep for existing and new customers

  • Systematically recording any damaged / QA stock 

  • Communicating with managers, warehouse teams and customers as appropriate


Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working within stock control / Perpetual Inventory counting 

  • Computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Excellent administration skills

  • Willingness to work various shift patterns, including some weekend work

  • Clear communication skills

  • Polite and professional telephone manner 

  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to work on own initiative and as a key team member 

  • Prioritisation skills and ability to organise workload

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment to meet customer needs


Fostering a continuous improvement culture, ensuring that the installation journey for our clients meets their needs is key.


You will also be expected to identify and mitigate risks (both engineering and general) for active projects and programmes and ensuring that they are addressed/removed.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Significant knowledge and experience of operating within large and complex engineering process, equipment operation or manufacture.

  • Be a time served Mechanical/ Electrical Engineer. A degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, chemical or process engineering discipline would be an advantage

  • Be influential, articulate and persuasive, a relationship builder- establishing credibility with both internal and external contacts at all levels.

Warehouse Operatives

Job Purpose

To receive, store and handle customer supplied goods as required by the Shift Manager or designate in a safe and legal manner by performing the following duties.


  • Unload, load all incoming customer goods as required in the appropriate manner to maintain the integrity of customer goods minimising damage. 

  • Carry out checks on incoming or outgoing goods to ensure it reflects accurately the product, quantity and quality of goods received or despatched.

  • Ensure all MHE used is checked and compliant with site safety rules and the appropriate check sheets are completed signed and dated. 

  • Move and handle all customer goods by use of appropriate MHE and the approved methods as defined by the customer or directed by the Shift Manager or designate. 

  • Maintain site Health Safety and Hygiene standards as required and proactively act on any issues identified during the course of the shift.

  • Report all accidents and incidents and potential hazards to the Shift Manager as soon as possible.

  • Report any unauthorised persons observed within the warehouse to the Shift Manager or designate. 

General Duties:

  • Liaise with other internal departments as required.

  • Maintain housekeeping levels of warehouse and surrounding area.

  • Ensuring all Shift procedures are adhered to at all times. 


Quality Standards & Miscellaneous:

  • Ensuring Customer Supplied and agreed standards are met at all times. 

  • Completion of Ad – Hoc work as specified by the Shift Manager or designate,

  • Participate in meetings if required.

  • Attend training as required.

  • Attend Team Briefings.

Forklift Truck Drivers

Job Purpose

You will be responsible for the transportation of goods and pallets around our warehousing sites. The role of a forklift driver involves the following duties: Loading and unloading materials from a variety of vehicles. Moving pallet-packed materials around the site or storage facility. To receive, store and handle customer supplied goods as required by the Shift Manager or designate in a safe and legal manner by performing the following duties.


  • Qualified to operate counter balance and preferably reach fork lift trucks (but can be trained)

  • Unload, load all incoming customer goods as required in the appropriate manner to maintain the integrity of customer goods minimising damage. 

  • Carry out checks on incoming or outgoing goods to ensure it reflects accurately the product, quantity and quality of goods received or despatched.

  • Ensure all MHE used is checked and compliant with site safety rules and the appropriate check sheets are completed signed and dated.
