3PL DIVISIONAL DIRECTOR, LISA TOMLINSON, NAMED SUPPLY CHAIN LEADER OF THE YEAR

Lisa Tomlinson, our 3PL Divisional Director, has won the Supply Chain Leader of the year category at the Everywoman Transport and Logistics awards.

Shortlisted with other female professionals from companies such as Fresh Pastures, Amazon, Hatmill Ltd and GV Group, Lisa was voted as winner by industry peers and sponsors Unipart Rail, after a robust judging process.

Lisa joined the business in 2021 from her previous role as Head of Home Delivery at Victoria Plum where she had enjoyed significant success and was an award winner at Logistics UK award for Most Innovative Company of the Year.

Lisa has over 20 years’ experience in the supply chain sector and has worked in several roles gaining both on the job training and experience and a Business Studies degree whilst working full time and being a mum on her own. She has a NEBOSH certificate, Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma and completed a transport manager international CPC in 2018 amongst her professional qualifications.

Lisa joined Carlton Forest 3PL as Head of Operations and was promoted to 3PL Divisional Director at the end of 2021. Her key responsibilities are to deliver the strategic growth plans of the business and liaise with other stakeholders to ensure other objectives such as health and safety, staff development, customer satisfaction and onboarding of new clients are delivered to the high standards for which Carlton Forest 3PL is known.

During her career Lisa has managed the start-ups of three new warehouses, developed and delivered large scale projects with major cost savings, implemented new WMS systems and route planning software, and established an in house 2-person home delivery service.

Lisa continues to challenge perceptions and firmly believes, in line with her Senior leadership team, that everyone, irrespective of gender should be afforded the same opportunities to develop and succeed in all disciplines of the supply chain industry.

At the awards ceremony Lisa commented; “Thank you to everyone who has mentored me in my career especially Diane Ward.

“This is such a great event, and it’s amazing to network with so many influential women – let’s continue to break that glass ceiling.”
