CARLTON FOREST RENEWABLES APPOINTS OPERATIONS MANAGER
Our Carlton Forest Renewables team has appointed its first Technical Operations Manager who will oversee the day-to-day running of the plant.
Andy Mills, 45, from Doncaster has joined the team at Carlton Forest Renewables ahead of the plant, the first of its kind in the UK, becoming fully operational at the end of the year. He joins the company from a previous role of plant manager and brings a wealth of technical expertise and people management skills to the role.
“What an exciting opportunity this is – to work on this revolutionary project and play a key role as its daily operations commence,” said Andy. “I’m very much looking forward to delivering the vision of the business and, in the first instance, employing the team that will work with me to run and maintain the patented technological components within the plant.”
Andy, who has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University, will have overall responsibility for the operational performance of the plant that will see around four million litres of oil and 2,500 tonnes of carbon char generated from approximately 1.8 million tyres or 12,000 tonnes per annum from the singular module. These modules can be daisy chained together to provide a truly scalable solution and the patented process not only removes ELTs from other disposal streams, but also ensures no further waste is generated.
Scott Robson, Managing Director, Carlton Forest Renewables commented; “We extend a very warm welcome to Andy – I’m looking forward to Andy being involved in the commissioning phase next as he is going to play a critical role in getting our first plant up and running.”
