COMPANY TAKES BREW MONDAY ONE STEP FURTHER AND ADOPTS SAMARITANS AS ITS CHARITY FOR 2022
On Brew Monday the Carlton Forest team are pleased to announce that it has adopted Samaritans as its chosen charity for 2022.
And, for its first event, members of the team have taken part in the national ‘Brew Monday’ campaign where staff enjoyed a ‘brew’ and a cake together whilst chatting about everything apart from work!
“It became clear last year that there was an appetite for the business to adopt a nominated charity for the year and after a poll amongst staff, Samaritans was a clear favourite,” said Graham White, Group Intelligence and Communications Director, Carlton Forest Group. “The last couple of years have been incredibly tough, and looking after our staff both mentally and physically has been incredibly important to us and the work that Samaritans do helps so many in many different ways.”
During the year the team plan to take part in both team and individual charity events, some of which are events led by the charity, and some which are organised by the team or individual staff members.
“Whether we run, walk, cycle, swim, have a coffee morning or organise a social event, we will be encouraging as many of our team as possible to get involved in whatever they enjoy,” said Graham. “Charities have found times particularly hard in the last couple of years and we felt that 2022 was a great time to pledge our support to one of the most in demand organisations, committed to helping those that may be struggling to cope with modern day life and the ongoing challenges attributed to the pandemic.”
