GO LIVE DATE DRAWS NEARER AS HOT TESTING PHASE HAILED A GREAT SUCCESS

The ‘go-live’ date for our continuous pyrolysis plant, the first in the UK for end-of-life tyres, is imminent after a successful hot testing phase has been completed.
A hugely exciting and pivotal moment in the process, the hot testing phase saw the ‘firing up’ of the burners, the motors etc – in fact anything where heat is generated - to ensure that everything worked, just as expected.
Engineering and designed to facilitate the recovery of end-of-life tyres into eco pyrolysis oil and eco carbon char, the plant is unique in its design and operations.
Rory Hughes, Technical Director, Carlton Forest Renewables commented; “We are very pleased that our hot testing phase has been successfully concluded and shows the level of design and engineering and the capabilities of this amazing plant. Momentum is really beginning to build now as we look to an imminent commissioning and ultimately launch of the visionary and hugely exciting project.
“Our team and procedures are all in place and whilst some training has taken place, comprehensive training will continue over the next few weeks and months to enable the team to operate and monitor all elements of this and to be able to offer support and training to the first of our joint venture customers in just a few months’ time.”
