The Carlton Forest team has been pleased to attend several Doncaster Chamber events over the years, however, last week was particularly special – we sponsored the Women in Business lunch for the first time.

Held at the Holiday Inn, Doncaster, over 70 female business professionals attended the session which welcomed speakers Chinwe Russell - Director of D31 Art Gallery; Jay Bhayani - Managing Director Bhayani HR & Employment Law; Kelly Butler - Director KB Education and Amelia Banful - Enviro Electronics.

The event was facilitated by Karen Beardsley, a well-respected Doncaster business community member, who was Managing Director at Unipart Rail before her recent retirement.

Vanessa Hope, Chief Commercial Officer, Carlton Forest Group commented; “This was the first occasion that I had attended such an event and it was wonderful to see so many positive stories being shared about business success and about doing business in Doncaster.
“It’s clear to see that there is a drive and passion to make Doncaster a success and by encouraging more like minded business people to the City I am sure that Doncaster will continue to prosper.”

Without exception, all the panel members were huge advocates of Doncaster and shared with the delegates the reasons why they chose to make Doncaster the home of their respective businesses.

From company acquisitions to a supportive local council and even romance, the reasons for choosing Doncaster may have been many varied, however one thing was evident – none are planning on moving their businesses from Doncaster any time soon.

Lucy Crapper, Group Communications and Marketing Manager commented; “This was another great event with open and honest speakers and a warm and friendly audience.
“Our thanks go to the Doncaster Chamber team for hosting the event – we shall look forward to the next event over the summer which takes place on Tuesday 18th July at Castle Park.”
