The team working on our pioneering end-of-life tyre pyrolysis project, which is in its final commissioning phase, has welcomed two senior members of the team.

Dr Ben Crunkhorn from Dronfield and Debra Boid from Doncaster join as Divisional Director Carlton Forest Renewables, and Assistant Divisional Director, respectively.

“It’s a delight to welcome Ben and Debra to the team as we edge close to the plant becoming fully operational and showcasing the amazing impact it can have on the end-of-life tyre market in the UK,” said Alex Matthias, Chief Development Officer, Carlton Forest Group. “They bring so much industry and commercial experience with them, and already have made a significant impact on our day-to-day operations ensuring necessary procedures are in place and running smoothly.”

Ben holds a degree in Materials Science and a doctorate in Environmental Engineering, as well as being a chartered engineer with Fellowship of the IMechE and a member of the IOMMM meaning he is well placed to develop the renewables side of the business as it continues to grow and diversify.

Debra joins the business after many years in customer service at senior levels and most latterly as Customer Service Director at Unipart Rail and will work closely with Ben to deliver the commercial aspect of the business.

“I speak on behalf of myself and Debra when I say we are so pleased to be joining this team at such a pivotal moment in its history,” said Ben. “So much has already been achieved, but we are both excited about what the future holds and the way that we can develop the Renewables portfolio as the emphasis continues to grow on this industry sector.”
