SUPPORTING DONCASTER IN A UK WIDE RESTORATION PROJECT
As Doncaster bids to become a city, there is much work being done on promoting just what the town has to offer.
Already significant businesses have chosen Doncaster as a place to base their operations, Amazon, Ceva, Ikea, Next are just some of the big names alongside locally based businesses such as Polypipe, Pegler and of course, Carlton Forest Group.
Supporting the work of the business community and showcasing just what they have to offer saw directors, Adam Jones and Graham White attend an event this week at the National Advanced Transport and Infrastructure College where Doncaster Chamber hosted the Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal Team.
With other members of the Doncaster business community in attendance, and representatives from Doncaster Council, discussions took place as to the work that will be required to preserve the 900-year-old Palace of Westminster which is home to the Houses of Parliament, and the skills that will be able to be drawn upon from around the UK to facilitate this.
Graham White, Group Communications Director commented; “With a hot bed of talent in the town and businesses that offer a range of diverse skills, we were proud to be part of a team that showcased just what Doncaster has to offer to the rest of the UK.”
