TEAM MEMBERS ATTEND DONCASTER CHAMBER WOMEN IN BUSINESS EVENT

As patrons of Doncaster Chamber of Commerce, we were delighted to attend the first of its ‘Women in Business’ events for 2023.

Hosted at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, the lunch event was titled ‘Breaking the glass ceiling’ and was particularly relevant to the challenges that female employees can sometimes experience in the logistics and supply chain industry.

Lisa Tomlinson, Diane Toft, Sue Schofield, Lucy Crapper attended from team CFG and were delighted to welcome Lisa Schulze, Business Development Manager from United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA) to hear the speakers and subsequent discussion.

Diane Ward, Deputy CEO, Carlton Forest Group commented; “The Women in Business Events tackle some of the challenges that we can experience in the workplace, and it is important that the female members of our team attend, participate and learn from them.

“The warehousing and logistics sector has changed considerably over the years that I have been part of it and now women are much more represented. I, and my team, are working hard to ensure our employees are given every chance to succeed, irrelevant of gender, and sharing workplace experiences can only enhance their knowledge and appreciation of business and how they develop successful relationships within it.”
